Weddings - Civil Ceremonies
‘Weddings by Chancellors’ are pleased to hold a Civil Wedding Ceremony licence. You may find it more convenient and relaxing to hold both your marriage ceremony and reception under one roof.

*Located within Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre. **Civil ceremony and reception at Whitworth Hall the total room hire for both is £2500.00 (Monday—Saturday) and £2750.00 (Sunday).

These prices do not include the cost of the marriage licence or any registrar fees
Booking Conditions and Payments
- A provisional booking will be held for 14 days, after which time the reservation will be released if a deposit has not been received.
- An initial non-returnable deposit of £500 is required to secure your booking.
- Menus and final arrangements must be confirmed 6 weeks prior to your wedding day.
- Full payment of the estimated invoice is required 21 days in advance.
- Children under 4 are free of charge. Children aged 4-12 years are charged at half the adult price based on the adult's menu (or see alternative children's menu).
- Minimum numbers apply to each different venue, please speak to your Wedding Planner for further details.
Cancellation
In the unfortunate circumstance of the cancellation or postponement of a confirmed Wedding Reservation at any time prior to the event, the following charges will be levied: -
